Mt Airy, MD, 4/14/12 – Beautiful Faces Permanent Makeup Salon, downtown Mt Airy’s newest business, will hold its grand opening at 10 am on Saturday April 14th, 2012. Mayor Pat Rockinberg will be guest of honor for the event, which will take place on the same day as Mt Airy’s Chili Cook Off.
Owner Theresa Pstrak, a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, said she chose a pink ribbon for the ceremony because of her emphasis on helping women who are dealing with cancer and other medical conditions.
“This is something that’s at the very heart of what I’m building here. I want this salon to be somewhere where women of all ages, and in all circumstances, can come and be comfortable,” she said.
“As a breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of sensitive and compassionate care. People with unsteady hands, less than perfect vision, and all those women who have a demanding lifestyle no longer have to struggle with the extra time and effort needed to apply regular makeup.”
Services offered by the salon include the application of permanent color to the eye brows, eye liner and lips, as well as more specialized procedures such as areola pigmentation and scar revision.
